The Lydia Sweater is designed to have approx. 25–35 cm of positive ease in the smaller sizes, gradually decreasing in the larger sizes. All measurements are based on the finished garment after washing and blocking. The length does not include the folded neckline.

Skills: Knit and purl, increases, decreases, yarn overs, and German short rows.

Hand-dyed Kid Silk Mohair from Thelma Steimann: 64% kid mohair and 36% silk brushed

singles with 420 m / 50 g hanks.

Circular needles 40 cm and 80/100 cm in 4.5 mm for the sweater

Tension Gauge

18 sts × 26 rows = 10 × 10 cm on 4.5 mm needles in stockinette stitch.

Check your gauge before starting.

Good to Know

The sweater is worked top-down. The neckline is worked back and forth, then joined in the round. The yoke is shaped with raglan increases. The body and sleeves are separated and worked individually. German short rows are worked on the body to create a longer back. The neckline is finished by picking up stitches and folding it for a double edge.
