The measurements are based on the size of the sweater before washing ; the sweater might increase in cm when washed depending on the way it’s washed. The sweater is suppose to be loose fitted, its recommended to stay true to size. The breast area is measured after the body has been decreased.

Material

Suggested yarns:

Organic merino DK from Thelma Steimann, the yarn is 100% Organic merino wool. Approx 225m/100g in each skein. Wonderful and soft base to work with.

Hand dyed kid silk mohair from Thelma Steimann, the yarn is a mixture of brushed 72% Kid mohair and 28% silk singles , it ́s lightweight luxurious mohair yarn, super soft and fantastic to work with. Approx 420m/50gr in each skein.

Organic merino col 1: 3/4/4/4/5

Kid silk mohair col 1: 1/1/1/2/2

Circular needle 80 cm in 5 & 5,5 mm

Make sure to check your own tension before starting to knit.
Cast on 20 stitches and knit 29 rows on needles 4 mm for a 10 x 10 cm sample with two strands ; 1 DK & 1 Kid Silk Mohair.
If tension measures too tight, change to a thicker needle.
If tension measures too wide, change to a thinner needle.

Good to know

The sweater is knitted from bottom to top in round, the sleeves are knitted in round and connected with the body on armpits. The sweater is divided up for back and front side and knitted from right and wrong side. The shoulders are stitched together with mattress stitch. Neckline and peplum on shoul-ders is knitted in round after the sweater has been connected together. The sweater is knitted with 2 strands of thread throughout the project, color 1 (Organic DK or Kid silk mohair; see in instructions) along with color 2 (Kid silk).

Yarn quantity required is based on an average , and is therefore an approximate number. The sweater can be knitted in any yarn that consist of the same thickness as Organic merino DK combined with Kid silk mohair, and the color combination is not set in stone.
