Tension gauge sample

Keep in mind that the tension swatch can seem a bit off compared to chest circumfrence and the amount of stitches knitted. The silk is more likely to expand while knitting, the irregularities in the Sari silk and the texture make the sweater become bigger in size after wash and usage.

Be sure to check your own tension before starting to knit.

Cast on 9 stitches and knit 12 rows on needles 10 mm for a 10 x 10 cm sample.

If tension measures too tight, change to a thicker needle.

If tension measures too wide, change to a thinner needle.

Good to know

The sweater is knitted from the bottom to top in a circle .The body and the sleeves are knitted separately and then connected together from the armpits and knitted from there together for the yoke and neckline.

Yarn quantity required is based on an average , and is therefore an approximate number.
