2 x long safety pins or scrappy yarn.

10 x stitch markers (optional to use more when knitting the printwork).

Tension gauge sample

Be sure to check your own tension before starting to knit.

If tension measures too tight, change to a thicker needle.

If tension measures too wide, change to a thinner needle.

Good to know

The jacket is knitted from top to bottom from right and wrong side, starting from the yoke with an increase. After the yoke has been knitted, the jacket is divided up for the sleeves and the body. The jacket body is connected and knitted in round with the printwork, with 2 or 3 strands of colors at the same time. It’s optional to change over to a slightly bigger

needle if needed in the printwork. The jackets are washed and blocked before it’s opened up from the middle in the front. Use a sewing machine to secure the stitches before cutting the jacket open. The edge is knitted onto the jacket and then the zipper is attached, by either hand sewing it on, or using a sewing machine.

Yarn quantity required is based on an average , and is therefore an approximate number.

The sweater can be knitted in any yarn that consists of the same thickness as Organic merino aran.

When working with hand dyed yarn, it’s recommended to check through the yarns and see if there are some hanks that might look slightly different from one another. If you have a hank that is slightly different from the rest of the hanks in color 1, use it while knitting the printwork to create additional effect in the printwork. This is just an option and a playful tip, to highlight the uniqueness of working with hand dyed yarns.
