Tension gauge swatch
Make sure to check your tension by creating a gauge swatch before starting your knit. Cast on 16 stitches and knit 21 rows in stockinette with 5,5 mm needles for a 10 x 10 cm swatch. Everyone’s tension is different, so if your tension is too tight and your gauge swatch measures too little, change to a thicker needle. If your tension is too loose and your gauge swatch is too wide, change to a thinner needle.
Good to know
The sweater is knitted stockinette from top down in the raglan style in round. The yoke is divided into sleeves and body when you are finished with the yoke. You continue on knitting the pieces separately from there in round. The sleeves are knitted with decrease.
The yarn quantity required is based on the average, and is therefore an approximate number. But the main goal of the design is to play with hand dyed yarns, creating an ombre look as the colors bleed into one another.
